A. BUSINESS PLAN

 Create a brief synopsis of your stylist business plan consisting of the following:

  • Mission Statement – statement of purpose or summary of target clients
  • Profile Information – relevant education or professional background
  • Market Analysis – Local marketability
  • Rates and Fees – Day Rate for professional services 

B. E-PORTFOLIO

Utilizing tumblr or wordpress social media blog platform, create an e-portfolio. Create a written and visual proposal for a print/editorial photo shoot for a leading fashion magazine. You have complete creative control over the story, theme, model, location and clothing. Utilize WGSN as a fashion forecast tool for theme research. You must be creative and show ingenuity that mirrors the magazine's philosophy. 

WRITTEN: Minimal 3 page description of the editorial shoot.

  4. Artistic angle, Location
  5. Model, Hair, Make-up
  6. Props, Layout

VISUAL:Two pages with inspirational images: fashion, hair, make-up for the shoot. Collage them into four distinct storyboards on your blog. Layout and creativity is important to convey your point of view. STYLE: Four complete looks (outfits) with accessories reflecting the theme.. Find the looks on WGSN, Polyvore or online. MODEL: Headshot and full body shot your ideal model with his or her measurement listed. This should be a real model; see model agency websites.
